Last Weekend/This Week Recap!

Once again, a busy weekend and week full of Zumba, Family, Friends, Sports, Politics, and a lot more!   :)

Zumba:

3rd week of Zumba in the books!!!  Another awesome week,  and I was fortunate enough to workout 4 consecutive nights. This is a key part to being successful! You have to make the time and dedicate 100% to see results. Its easy to let your workout regiment die down after awhile, or even shortly in.  Stay motivated, push yourself, and know you are getting healthy, you WILL see results.  Don't give up.  So easy to do, but STAY FOCUSED. Put together a workout schedule or set a time. I prefer to get it done as soon as I get home.  Or if you go to the gym, go before or after work.  Just keep going!!!  We all are capable of getting healthy, we just HAVE TO DO IT!!

Next week I will be stepping up to the next level and increasing my workout time.  Right now I’m doing a good 30 minutes 3 to 4 times a week, but will go to 45 minutes, 4 to 5 times per week. Since I'm approaching the 1 month mark, I'm adding weights and also 50 sit-ups per night.  I got to get this body ready for swimsuit season!!  I’m obsessed with laying out and being tan, so a good pool body is a MUST!!  Can’t wait to push myself harder next week.  The results are showing, I feel great, have so much energy, and the inches are falling off!!  Mecca pumped.  As always a few workout photos!

Easter:
Spent Easter Sunday with my Mom and Sisters.  Such a special time to be able to get all of us together.  Seems nearly impossible to find the time that works with all our schedules.  Got to see my precious nephew Finn (pictured below).  Also saw my sister’s BIG ol baby (babies) belly!!  Really enjoyed Easter Sunday service @ Mom's church.  It truly is a beautiful church.  To me, very old, traditional.  It was great being back in an Episcopal church, like I grew up in.  Big change from our current Church, where I consider everything more modernized.  More songs with bands, and easier for people of our Generation to understand.  Totally different. Service was about an hour and a half.  I enjoyed it o so much.  We sang the hymns, everything was so traditional.  Only organs, and church bells, no drums or guitars.  Felt great to be back, and I could tell how much it meant to my Mom to have me there.

After Church, my Sister and I stopped by the cemetery to place lilies on our loved ones graves.  I have a few photos attached below.  My Dear Aunt Gene, just passed away in Sept, so this was the 1st Easter without her. Wasn't the same without her or her deviled eggs.  Also went and visited my Aunt Dorothy's grave.  She was such a big part of my childhood.  I used to love to spend the night with her and play with all her makeup. We would roll our hair, and have the best time. I miss her so very much.  Felt good to be there, and reminisce on the precious moments I had with both of them.  RIP to both, can't wait to see you again!

We then went to Mom's and had lunch.  So good, Mom is the best.  Had a fun lil Easter Egg hunt for Finn and just relaxed.  A great day of bonding with la Familia.  :)

Friends

So disappointed that I had a FABULOUS time this past Friday hanging out with some of my favorite peeps, and didn't get ONE single picture!!  WTF?!!  Either way, I had so much fun just hanging out and letting loose.  Good to see those I haven't seen in a while and getting to catch up. I love my friends! So blessed.  I promise next time, I'll take pics!!  I think Friday was too wild for pictures anyway!  SMH!  Basically all I can say is Saturday was a total loss.  Was in BED all damn day!!  Haha getting old, but still can party when it comes to hangin wit my friends!  :)

Sports:

So my BOYS did it.  Only team to SWEEP in the first round of the NBA playoffs.  So very proud of the team for coming together and each solidly contributing to each W.  Glad we ran over the Knicks and hopefully shut some of the haters up.  Our chemistry is coming back, we currently are resting, and will be ready for Miami.  In no way will this be an easy road.  I am definitely thinking a 7 game series, but OF COURSE, I'm going with my boys in green. We have chemistry, we have the heart, we have the players, we have the coach.  We are READY for another Championship.  Legggooo!

STRICTLY MY OPINION, (But I'M just sayin...)

I really have been disturbed by this whole Obama birth certificate, Donald Trump shenanigans. I honestly think Donald Trump is a very smart man when it comes to.... BUSINESS, but strictly that.  This man is a damn fool!!  Last night while watching CNN (the ONLY news channel) Anderson Cooper did an excellent piece on the whole debacle.  I couldn't help but laugh the entire time.  Really Trump?!  You proved this time that you really are a MORON.  Pathetic that this was something you were so adiment about, and for what?!  Because you want to make OUR President look bad? How?!  Please do me, and every other person here in America a FAVOR.... Continue your Reality show, make your millions, run your businesses, and please DON'T RUN FOR PRESIDENT!!  Can you imagine what the WORLD would think of us then?!  PURE comedy, but slightly embarrassing too. (Look @ this MAN, like SERIOUSLY)!  SMDH!!!!!!

Tradegy:

I must speak on the horrible tornado's that ripped through the South yesterday, especially impacting Alabama.  What a terrible sight to see.  Hundreds killed, houses destroyed, cars thrown, lives ripped apart.  It is very hard during times like these to make sense of things.  However, we must know that God is in control of everything in our life.  I lift everyone impacted up in Prayer and ask for strength and guidance.  These images below are truly hard to look at.  I'm saddened to say a friend of ours lost his entire home, everything, but despite all of that, he and his family are safe.  What a blessing.  My heart has been hurting for all affected.

Tattoos:

So I have been contemplating getting another tattoo for over a year now.  Been almost 3 since my last.  Today my Best Friend texted me and said "let's get tattoos".  As crazy as it sounded at the moment, I now have decided, I'm ready to get inked up again.  Cannot wait to go and get my newest addition. I have at least 3 or 4 more I want, but my newest one is going to be on my right wrist, underneath side.  I'm getting my famous FAVORITE words "One Love" in script writing.  To me, those words speak volumes.  I want to get some color, possibly some shading of red, green, and yellow?!!  I have to make a few final decisions, but hopefully in the next couple of weeks, I will be gettin tatted up, and will post pics!!  Damn tattoos, why the hell are you so addicting?!!!
